First, the numbers:
- Today's weight: 289.5 lbs
- Weight lost since last week's weigh-in: 1.0 lbs
- Cumulative weight loss: 44.5 lbs.
Hmmm. Not to slight a one-pound weight loss (repeat the mantra: it's not about the number on the scale), but it does merit a little analysis. Not sure whether this slow-down is due to my being a little "loose" with my food over the Memorial Day weekend, or to more hormonal randomness (I'm also experiencing some water-retention symptoms), or to sun-spots or other phenomena beyond my control. But, assuming it is due to something within my control, I'll just try being a little more "achtung!" about all aspects of my health regimen this week, and see what transpires.
Meanwhile, I happened to be randomly Googling around, and stumbled upon another intriguing website:

This looks to be a fairly large and active on-line community for women working on weight loss. They're taking a "broad church" approach, not advocating any one diet, but rather telling everyone to bring it, whatever their current "it" is, and share whatever tips and tricks they've learned with others. Sounds like my kinda place! I totally do not need yet another on-line time sink--I'm too good at generating them all by myself!--but I do think I want to check these folks out some more.
